Maxwell’s materials are more realistic than ever. Inside Maxwell, materials are modelled in a physically correct manner. They are defined from their BSDF curves (Bidirectional Scattering Distribution Function). With the material editor, the materials can be defined in the same way as materials exist in the real world. The user can create Sub Surface Scattering, thin layer interference, light emission, etc. And you can mix them all using layers.
